Chris Huston on Louisville's 'upset' win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl: That’s a bunch of nonsense. I’ll tell you what, one of the laziest analysis you can ever make going into a game is the kind of thing Kirk Herbstreit said before the game, which was ‘If Florida doesn’t show up then Louisville has a chance to win’. It’s a great kind of analysis because if Florida wins you can say it’s because they showed up, and if they lose it’s because they didn’t show up; it’s kind of a full-proof analysis. But you have to look at the actual games themselves and you have to realize that when you look at Florida’s body of work, yeah they’ve beaten some great teams, but they also struggle against teams like Louisiana-Lafayette and Bowling Green. They weren’t sterling every single game. And then you have Louisville which is not a style that Florida is used to playing. The SEC outside of Texas A&M doesn’t have too many dynamic offenses. You know when you’re playing LSU and you’re playing Tennessee, and a lot of these (sluggish) offenses, and then you go and play a team like Louisville which has a great player in Teddy Bridgewater, and a pretty good scheme and they executed well, it’s kind of a shock to your system and that’s what happened.
