Bill Macdonald on why the Lakers shouldn't trade Pau Gasol: "Okay, he’s (Pau Gasol) 32, he’s got some mileage, but so do a lot of other great stars, and he’s got a pretty heavy contract another year.  But, he’s one of the great passers, one of the great IQs in the game, and he can hit that mid-range jumper, he can still play some defense.  Hey, he had three blocks early in this game, and when he gets his legs back he should be pretty good.  We all wanted to see how this thing was going to work out.  Now, it didn’t work out with Mike Brown, and then all of a sudden Nash was gone, and Pau had to miss eight games.  I think, although the losses piled up, we have to wait and see what happens.  You can’t make a last decision until Steve Nash comes back, and not for a game, not for a week, but for at least a month.  And, then maybe down the road if it’s not working, then maybe you pull the trigger."
