Dana White wasn’t trying to pit UFC on FOX against HBO PPV on purpose.

UFC on FOX will air this Saturday night at the same time of the HBO Boxing Pacquiao-Marquez 4 pay-per-view. UFC President Dana White joined JT and Looney to explain that he didn’t pit UFC on FOX against the HBO pay-per-view on purpose, and that he still plans on watching both events on Saturday night. Here's a breif exchange between the UFC head man and Tomm Looney.

Tomm Looney: This isn’t scientific, but everybody I know likes both boxing and UFC, and your free TV event, Diaz & Henderson, on the same night as the Manny Pacquiao fight. I’m wondering what’s the tactic, are you doing it to annoy the powers that be in boxing? Or is it because people who like fights, UFC and boxing, will already be home, so they can watch both?

Dana White: Actually, that’s the night Fox gave us. We’re not trying to annoy anybody or do anything. Let me tell you what I’m going to do on Saturday night. Saturday night, we have what is definitely, the greatest fight ever on free television. This card is stacked from top to bottom, on big Fox, it’s live, it’s free. And then, when our fight is over, I’m going back to my room, I’m going to do the press conference, then I’m going back to my room and I’m going to watch the Manny Pacquiao fight on pay-per-view.
