Dyer sheds some light on the situation in New York:"If you remember (last year), Greg McElroy, the Jets backup’s backup quarterback, got in trouble when he went on an Alabama radio station and said ‘this was the most toxic environment I’ve ever seen’. I’ve never seen anything like that. And here’s a rookie just removed from college, so they’re not doing a very good job of having a collegial atmosphere in Jets Land. And make no mistakes about I think this is a tighter locker room than last year. We all remember how this group kind of splintered apart and called each other out very vocally in the press. There was a lot of finger-pointing; there was a lot of negativity. A lot of that is gone this year. And I think that even though the record is going to be worse than last year, this is a better Jets locker room and a more cohesive unit. But certainly when you look at this there’s still a few bad apples that remain in this locker room. As hard as Rex can try to have this ‘family’ kind of approach, all it takes is one or two negative people to bring everyone down. I think everyone has been very supportive Tebow for the most part, they’ve embraced him and he’s embraced them, but it just takes one or two people to kind of ruin all that, and we’re seeing that effect now."
