Naston on the run in of crews: "Jeff Gordon and Clint Boyer get together, and it was Gordon who was the aggressor. Now I don’t know what’s going on in Jeff’s head but Clint Boyer is not someone you want to mess with. He’s a pretty tough dude, and he’s a clean racer so there’s been this little thing back and forth with them. But Gordon figures, not for the points championship, but he would’ve figured to help work for another Hendrick team to get a championship. And who better to do that than a guy like Gordon? But the thing that was really blowing me away was the size of this altercation and fight. These were two drivers who were obviously angry with each other, but the crews got together and went after Jeff and I don’t think that was fair at all. If those two guys have issues they need to go talk about it, or go behind an outhouse and duke it out. But you cannot put five bruising guys on a little guy like Jeff Gordon. And what would’ve happened if they really would’ve hurt him and pushed him up against a tool box? Our sport, they want you to have fun, they want you to bang doors, but you’ve got to keep it to a dull roar and you’ve got to make sure you’re doing the right thing before you go out there."
