The NFL analyst on Adrian Peterson's recovery from his torn ACL: "Twenty years ago if a player had an ACL injury, the trajectory of his career started to go down even if he came back after a year or 9 months or whatever. Adrian Peterson gets injured in late-December and he vows that he’s going to be ready to play, nobody believes he’s going to be ready to play, and he’s leading the NFL in rushing with 775 yards in 8 games with a 5.1 average. He’s back. It’s not a medical miracle or anything because I’ve been reading that some guys come back after 6 months, but that’s the guy on the street. And the difference between being an All-Pro in the NFL and driving a pizza delivery truck is about a tenth of a second. So for Adrian Peterson to come back and look the way that he does, I just think it’s phenomenal and the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson I think may be the biggest story in the NFL this year."
